The talented artist exercised his (or her) right to express her (or his) opinion on China's suppression of the Tibetan monks. The gist was, Tibet is a part of China and always has been and always will be and anyone who believes differently is a lackey of the lying western media. I pointed out without rancor that Chinese state controlled media is not impartial, and that, since I once spent a summer in Tibet I could say firsthand that the Tibetans want their country back. For that I have been banned from his (or her) page. IN fairness, Qinni warned that anyone who would dare to disagree would be banned, so I guess I got what I asked for. Well, that's how China treats people and I guess Qinni, as a patriot of China (though not a resident there as far as I can tell) has learned his (or her) lesson well.

Boycott the Olympics!

You know, that same summer (2002) China was bidding on the Olympics in competition with the Canadian city of Toronto. I supported China's bid since I believed this would be a good catalyst for China to reform its record of abusing human rights. Unfortunately it seems I was wrong.
